I'm getting transferred!

Not something you see in the States very often.

My District

Hello everyone. Here are the highlights this week
1. I am getting transferred. Don't ask me where or who my new companion is because I wont know until tomorrow but I am leaving. My bags are packed to go.  Hermana Martin is also getting transferred.
Well to be honest.. this week was kind of a boring one. A good one but a little plain.
2. We celebrated Christmas in July with the familia Del Castillo.
3. Had a really awesome family home evening.
4. Today the 6 of us went over to a members house to celebrate the independence day of Peru.  The family is from Peru and they made some delicious food.
And that is kind of it. Nothing extra ordinary.
Anyways hope all of you have a great week. I love you all and I pray for you all. Please send some extra prayers my way because I am going to need them!
Love,

Highlights of the week!

Hey everyone!
Here are some highlights of the week
1. Well, we had some major changes in the mission with our new mission president. PDAYS WILL NOW BE TUESDAYS. Also, we get to go to the temple every 3 months instead of once every year. You could say I am super happy for the temple change.
2. We had a baptism this Sunday. The daughter of our convert Evelyn. Her name is Fransica and she is 11 years old. She is so sweet and so excited to be a member.

3. A very Happy Birthday to my best friend and sister Mallory! She is 18 and now can legally buy stuff on commercials on TV!
4. It was Hermana Stokes cumplemes which means she now has a year in the mission.
5. Our new ward is great with a lot of work to do! Our Bishop is awesome and we are doing well.
6. We had interviews with our mission president and he is so awesome. I love him so much.
Hope you all have a great week. I love you all.

News of the week..

A new version of TIC TAC TOE!

Hola Hola everyone. Here is the news of the week
1.Monday after writing we went to Evelyn´s, our recent convert and
she made a cake for Hermana Stoke’s birthday. It was a surprise. We sang
Happy Birthday and everything. They were so cute. Her daughter
Fransica is getting baptized this Sunday. We are so excited. Fransica
is 11 but is reading the Book of Mormon and really interested in the
gospel. Evelyn told us that because of the gospel what she wants in life
has changed. She said before she really wanted a house but now it
doesn’t matter if she lives with her parents because what she really
wants is for her daughters to go on missions. It really touched my
heart and made me realize the effect missionaries have on the people
they teach.
2. Tuesday we had a Noche de hogar with the Tolozas and Evelyn and her
daughters. We learned how to make Calzones rotos, a really yummy
dessert. Kind of like a fried dough. Yes, mom, I got the recipe.

3. We had divisions with Hermanas in the CCM (MTC)  A Hermana Jacobson came with us and crazy thing.. she and I went to EFY together. It was so much fun to see her.
Hermana Jacobson!!

4. We had a cita with our investigator Roger. He is crazy. He asked me
if I had a boyfriend. I told him no. He responds almost shouting ´I
knew it, I knew you didn’t; It is because you are like a turtle. Slow
but there is a end and you will find someone. I just didn’t even know how
to respond. I laughed and then he read our palms. I have a pretty good
life ahead of me.
5. This really sweet family that just moved into our ward fed us lunch
and their oldest daughter Javiera made us rubber band bracelets.
6. Our new ward is the BEST. I love it.
7.Yesterday we celebrated Pedro Toloza's birthday. We had a blast. They
are so great I know it sounds like I am partying but I promise I am working hard.
Love you all so much.

CHILE WON THE COPA AMERICA and Our New Mission President

Getting the aggression out.

Chi Chi Chi Le Le Le Vive Chile
(soccer chant)

Well if you haven't heard CHILE WON THE COPA
AMERICA. I may have not celebrated the Fourth of
July but we still had fireworks and partying going on here the fourth.
The people were so crazy. The game started at 6pm but we had to be in
the pension(apartment) at 5pm and had to stay in until Sunday morning. People
were screaming, singing, shouting, and going crazy all Saturday from
11am until I don't even know because I went to bed. It was the first
time Chile has won the Copa America.
Some other things that happened this week.

1. Saturday we also celebrated  Hermana Stoke´s 20th birthday.

2. Saturday we also took Evelyn, our recent convert to the temple for
a tour. One of my favorite quotes from her youngest daughter Antonella
was ¨Come and fight Fransica¨ She was too cute.

3. First Sunday as the ward and it was awesome. I am so excited to be
a part of this ward and get to work!
4. This Sunday we fasted for rain. We haven't had rain and that makes
the smog really bad. Right after we broke our fast it started to rain.
God is so great. I know that he answers prayers. And now the air is
fresh and pure.
5. New Mission President Morgan from California.

bottom row 3rd from last.

Anyways hope you all had a great Fourth of July and are enjoying the
summer sun. Love you all.
